Furman’s Hitchcock Named To CSC Academic All-District Team

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Furman's Macy Hitchcock was named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, as announced today by the CSC Academic All-America Committee.

A junior from Eaton, Ohio, Hitchcock is a health sciences major with a 3.76 GPA.  During the 2026 spring season, she led Furman to a 17-5 overall record, a perfect 7-0 league mark, and the SoCon regular season title.  Hitchcock was voted to the All-SoCon second team for singles for the second-consecutive year after recording an 11-5 overall singles record, including a 9-3 mark at flight three.  In SoCon matches, Hitchcock was undefeated with a 7-0 record, all at number three.  An ITA Scholar-Athlete, she was named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll and the SoCon Academic All-Conference Team.

Nominations and voting for the CSC Academic All-America programs are conducted by members of the College Sports Communicators, formerly College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

CSC Academic All-District Team selections were required to have posted a 3.50 or better GPA, completed at least two semesters at their current school, played in at least half their team's competitions, and be considered a starter or key contributor.  Freshmen and student-athletes who have transferred in the last year were not eligible.
