Furman Men's Basketball Adds Bell To 2026-27 Roster

Rising Junior Averaged 12.2 Points, 5.0 Rebounds Per Game This Past Season

Greenville, S.C. – Guard Jaxson Bell has joined the Furman men's basketball program for the 2026-27 season, Paladin head coach Bob Richey announced this week.

A native of Indianapolis, Ind., Bell joins the Paladins with two years of eligibility after playing his first two seasons for Army.

"We're excited to welcome Jaxson Bell to the Furman basketball family," said Richey. "Jaxson brings a level of discipline, toughness, and maturity that comes from his experience at the United States Military Academy. He's a strong, physical player who can stretch the floor with his shooting ability, and his work ethic fits perfectly with the culture we've built here. We believe his leadership and competitive spirit will make an immediate impact on our program both on and off the court."

Bell played in 30 games and logged eight starts as a sophomore at Army during the 2025-26 season, ranking second on the squad averaging 12.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. The 6-foot-2 guard reached double-digit points 20 times and notched Army's only two double-doubles of the season while connecting on a team-high 35.9% of his three-point attempts. In addition to a career-high 24 points versus Binghamton, Bell posted 14.9 points and 5.3 rebounds per game over the final seven games of the 2025-26 season, including 22 points at Lafayette.

Prior to arriving at West Point, Bell earned all-conference and all-city honors as a prep standout at North Central High School while also playing for Kyle Guy Elite.
