GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Furman volleyball team was one of 1,432 programs to earn the AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 season, it was announced today by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

The award, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale or 4.10 on a 5.0 scale.

The Paladins were one of nine Southern Conference programs to receive the award along with Chattanooga, The Citadel, East Tennessee State, Samford, Tennessee Tech, UNC Greensboro, Western Carolina, and Wofford.

Furman turned in its first 20-win season since 2017 last year, finishing 21-9 overall and 11-5 in the SoCon. The Paladins produced three All-SoCon selections and advanced to the semifinals of the SoCon Volleyball Championship.
