Greenville, S.C. – Furman senior
Norah Roller has been selected preseason All-Southern Conference and the Paladins have been picked to finish second in the league standings in 2026 in voting by the league's 11 head coaches, it was announced on Monday afternoon.
Roller, a native of Birmingham, Ala., played in all 19 matches and registered 13 starts as a junior in 2025. She netted eight goals, including a pair of match-winning scores for the Paladins, while adding two assists. Roller scored both goals in a 2-1 regular season win at VMI and found the back of the net twice, including an 86
th minute equalizer and overtime winner, in Furman's 2-1 SoCon Tournament triumph versus Chattanooga.
Samford, who defeated the Paladins in last season's SoCon semifinals in Birmingham, has been tabbed as the league favorite and received the maximum 10 first place votes. Furman received the only other first place nod and was picked in a tie with ETSU for second place while Western Carolina was tabbed to finish fourth.
Furman opens the regular season on Thursday, August 13, at Charlotte before hosting North Greenville at Stone Soccer Stadium on Tuesday, August 18 in the 2026 home opener.
