GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Furman men's tennis team starts its fall slate this weekend when it travels to Elon, N.C., for the Elon Invitational at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.

The Paladins are one of seven teams competing in the three-day tournament along with Elon, Charlotte, East Tennessee State, N.C. State, VCU, and Virginia Tech.
Four Furman players are taking part in the tournament including
Landon Ecarma,
Evan Duggal,
Finn Pollard, and
Evan Rigsby.
Friday's tournament schedule will consist of two doubles rounds followed by one round of singles play. Saturday's format shows two rounds of singles action. The final day of competition on Sunday has one round each of doubles and singles.
Under the direction of eighth-year head coach
J.J. Whitlinger, who is also entering his 12
th year overall in Greenville, the Paladins compiled an 8-15 overall record last season including a 4-3 mark in the Southern Conference. Furman, who produced four All-SoCon picks in 2025-26, returns a total of ten letterwinners to this year's squad and welcome two freshmen newcomers.
The Paladins have four tournaments remaining on their fall schedule and return to action September 25-26 at the CCU Battle at the Beach hosted by Coastal Carolina in Conway, S.C.
