CINCINNATI, Ohio – Sophomore Cameron Reed (-1) tied for 14th Tuesday to lead the Furman men's golf team on the final day of the Bearcat Invitational, which was held this week at the par 71, 7,279 yard Coldstream Country Club.

Reed, a native of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., notched a 76 with birdies on No. 8 and No. 14 to finish the 54-hole tournament eight shots back of individual champions Cameron Kuchar (-9) of TCU and Liberty's Michael Lugiano (-9) who each posted a three-round total of 204.

Freshman Tucker Gutierrez (+3), who played in his first collegiate event, carded a 1-under 70 with five birdies on Tuesday.  He posted birdies in three out of four holes from No. 1 through No. 4 and tied for 48th.  Junior David Oliver IV (+4) paced the Paladins on Tuesday with a 2-under 69.  He also recorded five birdies, including consecutive birdies on No. 8 and No. 9, to tie for 52nd.

Graduate student Ben Loomis (+7) tied for 67th in his first tournament as a Paladin.  In Tuesday's third round, he shot a 73 with three birdies, while junior Turner Chiles (+12), who also competed in his first tournament with Furman, tied for 89th after adding a 76 with birdies on No. 6 and No. 15 in the final round.

Liberty (-15) won the tournament by three strokes over TCU (-12).  Host Cincinnati (-10) finished third, followed by Memphis (-7) in fourth and Augusta (-3) in fifth place.  Furman (+13) tied for 15th with Minnesota (+13).

The Paladins will compete at Duke's Rod Myers Invitational, Sept. 21-22, in Durham, N.C.
