Greenville, S.C. – Furman begins a three-match road trip on Saturday when it travels to Lynchburg, Va., to face new Southern Conference men's soccer foe Liberty.

Furman improved to 3-1-4 overall and extended its unbeaten run to seven match (3-0-4) with a 1-0 victory over Mercer in the SoCon opener for both schools Saturday afternoon on Seagraves Field at Stone Soccer Stadium.

Liberty (2-4-1, 0-1-0 SoCon) dropped a 2-1 decision to UNC Greensboro in its first SoCon match this past weekend. Furman holds a 2-0-0 all-time record versus the Flames and claimed a 4-1 decision in the most recent meeting on September 26, 2024, at the Wofford Invitational in Spartanburg, S.C.
Following Saturday's match, the Paladins travel to UNCG on October 3 and College of Charleston on October 6 before hosting VMI on October 10.
