Biography

2019 — Saw significant action as a backup to starting defensive end Jonah Tibbs, serving in the defensive line rotation in all 13 games...tallied 27 tackles and finished second on the squad behind Adrian Hope in tackles for-loss (8.5) and sacks (5.0)... played a key role in leading Furman to an 8-5 record, at-large berth to the FCS playoffs, and No. 19 ranking in the AFCA Coaches final poll...squad topped the SoCon in scoring defense (20.0 ppg) with FBS foes Georgia State and Virginia Tech on the schedule...had four tackles, including 1.5 sacks in season opening, 46-13 win over Charleston Southern...also notched 1.5 sacks versus Virginia Tech...had a season high five stops against VMI (60-21 win)...finished the season with 10 career sacks.

2018 — Registered 20 tackles, four tackles for-loss, three sacks, and a fumble recovery in 10 games as a backup defensive end...collected his first sack in a 34-14 win over Wofford, and also recorded a takedown against VMI (49-13 win)...had half sacks versus Chattanooga (16-10 win) and Mercer in Furman’s 35-30, SoCon title clinching road win...fumble recovery also came against Mercer...credited with a season high four tackles versus Western Carolina and three each against Clemson and The Citadel (28-17 win).

2017 — Contributed five tackles and two sacks in his first season of action...in all appeared in 10 games as a reserve...recorded sacks in consecutive games: East Tennessee State (56-35 win) and Chattanooga (41-17 win).

2016 — Member of scout team...awarded redshirt and extra year of eligibility.

High School: 2016 graduate of Providence (4AA) High School...football coach was Brad Bowles...played defensive end...had offers from three FCS programs....two-time all-conference performer and Charlotte Football Awards finalist for defensive lineman of the year...credited with 202 tackles and 23 sacks in his career...played a big role in Providence Day’s 10-4 season and third round appearance in state playoffs in 2014 before losing to eventual state champion Mallard Creek.
