Walker Haynes joined Furman’s football program in early 2024 following a short stint as wide receivers coach at Rhodes College. In his new role he will serve as quality control for the Paladin offense.
His position at Rhodes followed four years at the University of Chicago, where he played for three seasons before taking his first coaching assignment as an assistant with the defensive backs, followed by tight ends, and running backs, which he combined as director of operations. From January to June of 2023 he served as a defensive assistant.
A native of McLean, Va., he graduated from the University of Chicago in the spring of 2023 with a degree in economics and specialization in data science.
