Prior to Furman: Attended Delphos St. John's High School where he played for his father, Aaron Elwer...Named Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association (OHSBCA) Mr.Ohio, Ohio Division VII Player of the Year, and was a two-time finalist for Ohio's Mr. Basketball award... Led St. John's to an unbeaten 29-0 record and Ohio Division VII state title...Averaged 28.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 4.6 assists, and 2.0 steals per game as a senior...Became the all-time leading scorer in Midwest Athletic Conference history with a 45-point performance....Selected to the OHSBCA North-South All-Star Game...A two-time All-Ohio selection....played for coach Brook Cupps and Midwest Basketball Club 3SSB.
