Jon D'Angelo

Jon D'Angelo joined the Furman men's basketball staff as director of operations in August of 2018. He currently coordinates team travel, assists in recruiting visits, creates social media graphics and video content, organizes summer camps, coordinates both facility scheduling and the managerial staff, manages the program's budget, and performs a number of other administrative duties. In 2019, he also coordinated the program’s six-day, two-game summer international tour in the Bahamas at the Atlantis resorts.
 
Before joining the program at Furman, D'Angelo served as a graduate assistant with the University of Virginia's men's basketball program in 2017-18 after working as head student manager for the University of Miami as an undergraduate.

A native of Howell, N.J., D'Angelo completed his master's degree in higher education with a focus on intercollegiate athletics at Virginia, while interning for credit under the Cavaliers' Associate Athletics Director for Basketball Administration, Ronnie Wideman.
 
D'Angelo coached both high school and AAU basketball in central New Jersey for four years surrounding attending Miami, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in sports administration in 2016 - also serving as the Hurricanes basketball program's head manager.
