Tyler Eckstein is in his fourth year  on the Paladins' staff and first as director of operations after three seasons as Furman's video and analytics coordinator.

The Durham, N.C., native served as the Paladins' head team manager as a student at Furman from 2015-19 and was awarded the Unsung Hero Award by the Furman Shucker Leadership Institute, which is presented annually to students who, through their behind the scenes involvement with student life, have exemplified a commitment to enhancing Furman campus life.

As the program's video and analytics coordinator, Eckstein was responsible for organizing the team's practice and game film, creating video content, calculating statistics as assigned by the coaches and assisting in recruiting evaluations. In Eckstein's first season on staff, the Paladins posted a 25-7 overall record and claimed a second place finish in the Southern Conference with a 15-3 league mark. Furman matched the school record for wins in a season and established a new single season record for regular season victories (25).

Eckstein graduated from Furman in 2019 with a degree in business administration.
