Tyler Hrubes was tabbed as Furman’s new athletic trainer for men’s basketball in the summer of 2025.
Hrubes joined the Paladins after two seasons as the athletic training intern for men’s basketball and men’s golf at the University of Florida. During his time with the Gators, his responsibilities included overseeing medical care, treatments, and rehabilitation for the basketball and golf programs, providing medical coverage for practices, managing product orders and inventory, and scheduling and organizing medical appointments for student-athletes.
A graduate of Marquette University with a bachelor of science in exercise physiology (’22) and master of science in athletic training (’23), Hrubes worked with Marquette athletes as a student trainer prior to joining Florida as a student trainer in December of 2022.
