Camilo Rodriguez joined the Furman coaching staff in March after spending the last 10 seasons as an assistant coach at Clemson, where he helped the Tigers claim two national championships (2021 & 2023), a pair of Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament titles (2020 & 2023), and three ACC regular season crowns (2019, 2020, & 2023).

"His experience building winning cultures, mentoring Hermann Trophy recipients, and preparing student-athletes for success on and off the field makes him the ideal choice as our associate head coach. Rodriguez helped mentor MAC Hermann Trophy winners Robbie Robinson and Ousmane Sylla during his time at Clemson while developing two of the finest goalkeepers in school history in Ximo Miralles and George Marks. In addition to the 2021 and 2023 national titles, he helped guide the Tigers to Elite Eight appearances in 2016, '18, and 19 as well as Sweet Sixteen finishes in 2017 and 2024.
 
Prior to joining the Clemson staff, Rodriguez spent eight seasons as head coach at Southern Wesleyan University and led the program to two national titles in 2013 and 2015. The Warriors were ranked second in the final NCCAA rankings in 2013 and finished in the top 10 of the rankings each of his final four years at SWU. The program also finished in the top 25 in the NAIA rankings each of his last two years, while competing in the toughest NAIA conference in the country, with six teams ranked those two seasons.
