Junior Year (2011-12):  Mellow was a first team All-Southern Conference selection for singles after posting a 13-10 overall record and 6-4 SoCon mark in the top singles spot for the Paladins.  He notched key singles victories early in the season, including a 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (12-10) win at #46 South Carolina, followed three days later by a 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (10-7) victory at #4 Georgia, earning SoCon Player of the Week honors for the week of March 7.  Mellow won four-straight matches against non-conference foes from Feb. 18 through March 10 then took victories in four out of five matches in a ten-day span from March 18-28, including four SoCon wins.  He concluded the season with three-straight wins, including a victory over UNC Greensboro, 7-5, 6-3, in the opening round of the SoCon Championship.  Mellow recorded a 12-12 overall doubles mark and 7-3 SoCon record.  He teamed with Tyler Droll primarily at the number two doubles spot for the second half of the season, and the duo won nine out of 11 matches from March 18 through April 20, including an 8-2 victory at College of Charleston on April 6.  Mellow was named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.

Sophomore Year (2010-11):  Mellow posted a 10-13 overall singles record and 5-5 league mark, playing primarily in the number two position.  His 7-5, 6-3 win at the Citadel to open the SoCon season sparked a six-match winning streak that lasted through his 6-4, 6-2 win over #47 Cornell at number two singles.  Mellow also notched wins over Georgia Southern, St. John’s, Buffalo, and Army during the two-week span, earning the SoCon March 15 Player of the Week honor for his efforts.   At the beginning of April, Mellow recorded back-to-back-to-back league wins over Wofford, Appalachian State, and Chattanooga, all at number two singles, over a five-day window.  He tallied a 12-12 overall doubles record and 6-4 mark against league foes, playing all but one match in the top doubles slot.  Mellow teamed with Sawyer Duncan to put together a five-match winning streak mid-season, recording wins over The Citadel, Georgia Southern, St. John’s, Buffalo, and Army.  The duo also won six out of seven matches to round out the season, including posting a win over Samford in the regular-season finale and tallying SoCon Tournament wins over The Citadel and UNC Greensboro.

Freshman Year (2009-10):  Mellow recorded a 12-8 overall singles record and 7-2 conference mark, after playing throughout the bottom half of the line-up before settling into the fifth singles position.  He won 11 out of his last 13 singles matches, including a run of 10-straight wins in the middle of the season.  Mellow tallied a 6-3, 6-1 win over #53 William & Mary in the number five singles spot, then won six-straight conference league matches.  He had a 10-11 overall doubles record, including a 7-2 league mark, with five-straight doubles wins over conference foes.
