Prior to Furman:  Played three seasons for head coach Dan Greenberg at NCAA Division III Williams College…Two-time ITA All-American in both singles and doubles…Played three times in the NCAA Division III Tournament…Selected first team All-NESCAC for doubles three times…Twice garnered first team All-NESCAC for singles…2022 New England Small College Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year…In 2023, advanced to the singles finals of the NCAA Division III Tournament…Made the singles quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2024 and doubles in 2022…Winner of the Shanghai Collegiate Tennis Tournament…Third team Academic All-America in 2024…Twice voted to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

Personal:  Born on December 30, 2000 in Massachusetts…Son of Anthony and Annie Kandel…Has two sisters, Abby and Allison…Sister, Allison, currently plays lacrosse at Furman…Dad, Anthony, played professional football for two years in the Netherlands, and mom, Annie, played on the U.S. lacrosse national team…Is earning his minor in Middle East and Islamic Studies.
