Freshman Year (2014-15): Earned a spot on the All-SoCon first team after placing seventh with a time of 24:31.32 at the league cross country championships…named to the SoCon All-Freshman team for cross country, indoor track (mile), and outdoor track (5,000m)…finished 11^th at the Clemson Invitational Cross Country meet (20:53.89)…placed eighth in the mile with a time of 4:14.37 at the SoCon Indoor Championships…a member of the Paladin 4x800m that took first place with a time of 7:48.28 at the Raleigh Relays to open the outdoor season…recorded a time of 14:49.54 to place fourth in the 5,000m at the SoCon Outdoor Championships…named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.

High School:  Helped St. Pius X Catholic to four-consecutive state cross country championships and two-straight state track championships…team set state record for lowest score at state cross country meet in 2013, totaling 26 points…won state individual cross country championships as a junior and senior…honored as the Georgia Gatorade Cross Country Athlete of the Year…won state championships in both the 1,600m and the 3,200m his junior and senior seasons…holds St. Pius X records in the cross country 5K, 1,600m, and 3,200m…also competed on the school’s men’s volleyball team…helped mentor incoming freshmen to the school’s community.

Personal:  Austin John Sprague was born on April 6, 1995, in Dunwoody, Ga....son of Steve and Teresann Sprague…father, Steve, ran cross country and track at Northwest Missouri State…brother, Trevor, ran cross country and track at the College of Charleston and at Georgia...is undecided on his major.
