Sophomore Year (2011-12):  Placed 18^th with a personal-best time of 11.96 in the 100m at the Emory Outdoor Classic… posted a personal-record in the long jump at the Furman Outdoor Invitational, taking 6^th place with a mark of 19-7 (5.97)…recorded a 16^th-place finish in the long jump at the SoCon Outdoor Championships after notching a mark of 19-2.75 (5.86)…named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.

Freshman Year (2010-11):  Placed 45^th with a time of 25.14 in the 200m at the Tiger Paw Indoor Invitational…took 12^th place in the long jump after recording a mark of 18-1.75 at the SoCon Outdoor Championships…recorded a season-best mark of 19-5.5 to place 12^th in the long jump at the Alabama Outdoor Relays…placed sixth in the event with a mark of 18-9.5 at the Furman Outdoor Invitational.

High School: Honored as a 2010 Scholar Athlete.

Personal: Giorgio Jerome Montenegro was born on March 28, 1991 in Chicago, Ill....son of Juan Montenegro and Claire Montenegro...intends to major in Spanish.
