General: Experienced point guard...part of a group of four returning starters...outstanding free throw shooter...with 841 points is on pace to become Furman’s 19th 1,000-point scorer....ranks ninth in career assists (292)...current career 82.4 free throw percentage would rank fifth best in program history. 

2011-12: Started in 23 of 31 contests and averaged 9.5 points — third on the team...128 assists ranked third in SoCon...led the league in free throw percentage (86.2%, 75x87)...scored 14 of season high 19 points (5x13 FGs, 8x8 FTs) over the final 12:39 to help Furman erase a 16-point second half deficit vs. UNC Asheville (71-59 win)...tallied 18 points (5x13 FGs, 6x6 FTs) and seven assists and combined with Teshia Griswold to score Furman’s final 15 points in a 66-60 win over Georgia Southern in Statesboro...had 17 points and eight assist in 75-57 victory over Troy.

2010-11: Took over the starting point guard duties...tied for the team lead in scoring (13.2 ppg)...also paced the team in free throw shooting (111x134, 82.8%)...collected a team high 91 assists and 46 steals...averaged 5.5 turnovers per game over the first 15 games but cut it to 3.0 turnovers/game over the final 14 regular season contests...scored at a 15.9 ppg clip over the Paladins final 10 regular season contests, helping Furman win five of its final six games to claim a fifth place regular season finish...tallied a career high 25 points against Presbyterian (73-60 win)...registered 21 points and a career high 10 assists against UNC Asheville (86-75 loss)...drained 10-of-11 free throws in an 18-point performance at Western Carolina (75-66 loss).

2009-10: Earned starts at point guard in nine games...averaged 8.3 ppg and totaled 29 assists over the first 15 games...tallied a season high 15 points (10x12 FTs) and season best five steals against Stetson in Greenville (76-60 win)...had 14 points and five assists versus Mercer in Greenville...named to the SoCon Academic Honor Roll.

High School: 2009 graduate of White Station High School...coach was Darryl Durham...member of two conference and district championship teams...served as team captain her senior year...MVP of MLK Invitational Tournament...ranked as the third best guard and ninth best player overall from Memphis by Midsouth Basketball Academy...scored over 1,000 points in her career...four-time all-district and two-time all-metro selection...named to Collierville Christmas All-Tournament Team on three occasions...played with AAU Memphis Flight.

Personal: Kaitlin Murphy was born on June 4, 1991, in Memphis, Tennessee...daughter of Dr. Phil and Megan Murphy...psychology major....carries a 3.14 GPA.
