Biography
General: Member of three-player senior class who helps form a contingent of four returning starters....solid shooter from 3-point range and free throw line.
2011-12: Earned starts at guard in 25 of 31 games in her first year in the Paladin program...averaged 9.1 points per game, the fourth highest mark on the squad...shot 46.3 percent from the field to lead all members of the Furman back court....led the team in 3-point shooting on a percentage basis (35.7%, 20x56) and converted 51x63 free throws (81.0%)....scored a season high 22 points (8x12 FGs, 6x6 FTs) and claimed six rebounds in a 75-61 win over Chattanooga in Greenville that snapped an embarrassing 21-game series losing streak to the Mocs dating back to the 2001-02 season...averaged 10.6 ppg and shot 49.5 percent (48x97) over the final 12 games...registered 19 points, combining with Kaitlin Murphy to score Furman’s final 15 points of the game in a 66-60 win over Georgia Southern in Statesboro...tallied 18 points in a 68-67 loss to Clemson in Greenville...converted 21 consecutive free throw attempts over a 15-game span from Dec. 5-Jan. 30.
2010-11: Averaged a team leading 18.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, abd 4.0 assists per game at Seminole (Okla.) State Junior College, earning first team all-conference, all-region, and NJCAA honorable mention All-America honors...helped pace her squad to a 19-11 record and fourth place Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference finish in her second year at SSJC.
High School: 2009 graduate of Baldwin (3A) High School, where she scored 2,143 points in her prep career and was named region, middle Georgia, and Georgia High School Association (GHSA) 3A Player of The Year...played AAU ball with the Georgia Metros.
Personal: Teshia Beatrice Griswold was born Sept. 8, 1990...parents are Willie and Deneece Griswold...health sciences major.
