Kat Crump is in her fourth season as an assistant coach with the Furman women's soccer program. She assists in all aspects of the program while training the Paladins’ goalkeepers.

In 2020-21, Crump coached Addison Corn to SoCon All-Freshman Team honors and second team United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region. Corn was one of the Paladins’ five all-region selections and helped them to an 8-1-2 overall record, 6-0-2 league mark, SoCon Tournament title and the school's eighth NCAA Tournament berth. Furman climbed to as high as No. 29 in the College Soccer News Top 30 and No. 9 in the NCAA RPI.

The 2019 Paladins captured their ninth SoCon regular season championship in program history after finishing 14-6-1 overall and 7-1-1 against league opponents. Five players received All-SoCon honors including senior goalkeeper Kellsey Weaver, who was named to the second team.

In 2018, she helped Furman to a 12-7-0 record and the program's fourth Southern Conference Tournament finals appearance in the last seven seasons. Junior Caitlyn Reilly earned first team All-SoCon honors and senior Virginia Poe captured second team All-SoCon accolades, while Erin Houlihan and Grace Baghdady were named to the SoCon All-Freshman squad.

Crump came to Furman in 2018 after serving as an assistant coach during the 2017 season at Jacksonville University. She also worked with the goalkeepers at Jacksonville Armada FC during her time in Florida.

The former goalkeeper was a four-year starter at Regis University in Denver, Colo., prior to her time at JU, starting 60 career games in between the posts for the Rangers. Crump posted 35 wins, a 1.15 goals against average and recorded 19 shutouts during her collegiate career.

In addition to her playing career, she also spent time on the sidelines, helping to coach the Real Colorado and Real Edge club soccer programs in the Denver area.

Crump earned her bachelor’s degree in health and exercise science from Regis in 2017 and is currently pursuing a masters in sport management.

She is originally from Huntsville, Ala., and attended Huntsville High School.
