Junior Year (2012)

Started all 34 matches for Furman and played in 124 sets (out of 125)…ranked second on the team with a .326 attack percentage…was second on the team and ninth in the league with a .306 hitting percentage in Southern Conference contests…recorded a team-high 24 solo blocks and was second on the team in block assists (54), total blocks (78) and blocks per set (0.63)…recorded double-digit kills in 22 matches, including the final 12 matches of the season…recorded seven kills, four digs and five blocks in the Paladins’ second-ever victory over Clemson on September 4…tied a career-high in digs with five at UNCG on October 19…notched a new career high in kills with 17 in the Southern Conference Tournament championship game against College of Charleston on November 19…was twice named Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week (September 5; November 21)…voted to the All-SoCon Tournament team after recording 42 kills (.390 attack percentage) and 11 blocks in three games…a member of the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.  

Sophomore Year (2011)

Appeared in all 30 matches and started 16 matches for Furman…ranked second on the team with a .314 attack percentage…led the Paladins and ranked fifth in the league with a .386 hitting percentage in Southern Conference contests…ranked third for Furman with 12 block solos, 54 block assists, 66 total blocks, and 0.67 blocks per set…recorded a career-high .692 attack percentage in Furman’s 3-0 win over Wofford on October 5…topped her career highs with 13 kills, four assists, and seven total blocks in the Paladins’ 3-1 victory over College of Charleston on October 7…named the Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the week of October 10 after hitting .08 with 33 kills in Furman’s three matches…established a new career high with five digs at Florida Gulf Coast on September 3...a member of the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.

Freshman Year (2010)

Played in 14 matches for the Paladins…posted a career-high .429 attack percentage against Presbyterian on August 31…notched five kills for a career best at The Citadel on November 13…also tallied a season-high three digs in the match…established a career high with five blocks versus UNC Greensboro in the first round of the Southern Conference Tournament on November 19…a member of the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.  

High School

Honored as a two-time all-conference selection after leading her Cardinal Gibbons team to two state championships...ranks second in Cardinal Gibbons history with a .547 career hitting percentage...chosen as the team’s captain and co-MVP...also a member of the track and field team, where she placed third in the 4x100m and sixth in the 100m dash at the team’s conference meet...honored as a Scholar Athlete...member of the National Honor Society...a 2010 National Achievement Scholarship Program Semifinalist.

Personal

Christina Dorismond was born on April 14, 1992, in Montreal, Quebec...daughter of Myriam Augustin and Lionel Dorismond...sister, Vanessa, was a middle blocker at Georgetown, where she was named to the Big East Academic All-Star team and was honored as the Hoyas hitting efficiency leader, and is playing professional volleyball in Italy…cousin, Taina Joseph, is a freshman middle blocker on the Furman team…majoring in chemistry.
