Julie Paré was promoted to assistant athletic director/sports information in 2023.  She is responsible for publicity efforts for women’s tennis, women's and men's golf, and the Paladin cross country and track and field teams.

Paré, who returned to Furman in 2009, began her career in sports information as a student assistant at Furman in 1993.  Following an internship with the Paladin sports information department after graduation, Paré went on to work in the sports information offices at Marshall, Miami University, and Clemson.

A native of Landrum, S.C., Paré graduated from Furman in 1996 with a bachelor of arts degree in political science.  She and her husband, Chris, a former athletic trainer on the Furman sports medicine staff, are parents of a son, Jackson, and a daughter, Hayden.
