The Furman Paladins finished off the weekend with a 7-0 loss to No.22 Florida State Saturday night. With the loss the Paladins moved to 1-2 on the weekend, and have a 1-4 overall record.
Florida State took control of the match early winning two of the three doubles matches. At No.1 Ytai Abouhzir and Chris Westerhof downed Ben Pauluhn and Greg Maarschalk 8-3 and in flight two Andrew Bailey paired with Maciek Sykut for an 8-6 victory over Brian Crook and Bo Ladyman. The one bright spot for the Paladins was in flight three where Scott Kahler and Will Kieffer picked up a 9-7 win over Chris Cloer and Sam Chang. Florida State went on to win all six singles matches to complete the 7-0 shut out over Furman.
The Paladins return to action on Wednesday when they take on Georgia Tech at 1:00 PM in Atlanta, GA.
