Paladins Shut Out By No.29 Georgia Tech

Atlanta, GA - The Furman men's tennis fell to 1-5 after being shut out by No.29 Georgia Tech Wednesday evening in Atlanta, Ga. With the win, the Yellow Jackets, playing in their season opener, improved to 1-0.

Georgia Tech captured the early 1-0 lead after winning two of the three doubles matches. At No.1 the 22nd ranked duo of Marko Rajevac and David North downed Ben Pauluhn and Greg Maarschalk 8-2, while in flight three Scott Blackmon and Zachary Rath defeated Scott Kahler and Will Kieffer 8-4. Furman picked up a win in flight three doubles with Bo Ladyman and Brian Crook ousting Jordan Delass and George Gvelesiani 8-2. The Yellow Jackets went on to win all six singles matches to secure the 7-0 shut out.

The Paladins travel to Athens, GA on Sunday for a 12 PM matchup against Georgia.
