#73 Men's Tennis Blanks Appalachian State

GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Furman men's tennis team improved to 9-10 on the season and remains atop the Southern Conference with a 5-0 league record with a 7-0 win over Appalachian State on Wednesday.

The Paladins took the early lead with three wins in doubles. In the top spot, the team of Andy Juc and Chris Motes defeated Bobby Lake and Trent Constance 8-5. At number two doubles, the Paladin tandem of Bo Ladyman and Jordan Walters topped Peter Jacobs and Lee Floyd 8-4, while Jason Basile and Daniel Knause won over Ryan Brookshaw and Dave Doverspike 8-3 at the number three doubles spot.

Furman finished off the win by earning victories in straight sets in all six singles spot.

Appalachian State falls to 9-7 on the season and 2-3 in league play. The Paladins will travel to Elon on Saturday.
