Furman To Entertain Pfeiffer Tonight At Timmons Arena

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman's women's basketball team returns home to face Pfeiffer tonight at 6:00 p.m. in Timmons Arena.

Fans can secure a $2 ticket to the contest with a canned food donation to Harvest Hope Food Bank, with collection points in the lobby of Timmons Arena.

The game will be broadcast over ESPN, and fans can also follow the action via live stats thru FurmanPaladins.com

Furman (3-1) is coming off a 71-57 road loss at Gardner-Webb on Monday after opening the 2017-18 campaign with consecutive home wins over the College of Charleston (72-58), Davidson (65-62), and Kennesaw State (78-59).

NCAA Division II Pfeiffer (2-0) owns wins over Hollins (72-33) and William Peace (91-55).

Head coach Jackie Carson's Paladins sport three double figure scorers led by senior forward Cierra Carter (17.0 ppg), sophomore guard Le'Jzae Davidson (14.8 ppg), and freshman forward Celena Taborn (10.0 ppg).  Carter, who registered 20 points against Gardner-Webb, enters tonight's game with 987 points, poised to become the 23rd player in Furman history to reach 1,000 points.  Taborn had 15 points and seven rebounds in Monday's contest.

Furman will play host to UNC Wilmington on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
