Men's Lacrosse Falls to No. 20 Penn State

Bethesda, Md. – An 11-0 run put the game away early, as No. 20 Penn State downed Furman, 16-5, on Tuesday night on the campus of Georgetown Prep. The win moves the Nittany Lions to 4-2 on the year, while the loss drops the Paladins to 0-6. 

William Holcomb led the Paladins with two goals on the day, while Jonah Moore, David Williamson, and Caleb Anderson each added one. Chad Kreuzer, Moore, Williamson, and Zach Scott each added an assist.

Penn State outscored the Paladins 5-0 in the first quarter and added six goals in the second before Furman got on the board on a goal by David Williamson just before halftime.

The teams traded goals to open the second half, before Penn State used three-straight gaols to push the lead to 15-3 to open the third. The Paladins got back-to-back goals from Holcomb and Anderson to cut the lead to 15-5, but the Nittany Lions ended the game with a goal with 2:52 to go to give Penn State the 16-5 lead.

Furman is back in action on March 17, opening SoCon play against Richmond in Paladin Stadium.
