Hurley Places Fifth To Lead Paladins At Virginia Challenge

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- Sophomore Emma Grace Hurley placed fifth in the 3,000m Steeplechase to lead the Paladin track and field teams Friday at the Virginia Challenge in Charlottesville, Va. 

Hurley posted a time of 10:16.75 in the event, while Furman freshman Kristlin Gear finished 22nd with a time of 10:55.03.  Rookie Emma Kuntz competed in the 800m, where she placed 28th at 2:12.36.

Furman will compete in the second day of the Virginia Challenge and at the USC Open in Columbia, S.C., on Saturday.
