GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman men's tennis team will compete at Clemson Saturday. First serve is set for 11 a.m. at the Duckworth Family Tennis Facility in Clemson, S.C.
Saturday's match marks the 38th meeting between the two schools. The teams last met in 2018, when the Tigers defeated the Paladins, 4-3, to take a 33-4 series advantage.
Furman enters the match with an 0-2 record after losing to No. 10 Virginia, 7-0, on Wednesday. Paladin seniors Jake Munns and Jake Bhangdia, who rank tenth nationally, defeated Carl Soderlund and Christian Alshon, 7-6(1), at flight one doubles.
The contest versus Furman marks the season opener for Clemson. The Tigers recorded a 10-17 overall record and 2-10 ACC mark in 2019.
