Men's Basketball Returns Home Wednesday Against Samford

Tip-Off Scheduled For 7 P.M. At Timmons Arena

Greenville, S.C. – The Furman Paladins look to return to the win column when they host the Samford Bulldogs in Southern Conference men's basketball action Wednesday evening. Tip-off at Timmons Arena is slated for 7 p.m. and the game will be streamed live on ESPN+.

Furman enters Wednesday's matchup at 15-5 overall and tied for second in the SoCon standings at 5-2 following a 66-52 loss at Wofford on Friday night. The Bulldogs, 8-12 overall and 2-4 in the SoCon, dropped their fourth straight with a 90-75 loss versus Mercer on Saturday.
 
The Paladins hold an 18-9 lead in the all-time series versus Samford and have won seven of the last nine meetings. Last season, Samford rallied to shock Furman, 75-73, at Timmons Arena before the Paladins claimed a 90-81 victory in Birmingham, Ala., in the last meeting on February 28, 2019.
 
Furman sports a 58-11 overall record and 33-5 mark versus Southern Conference opposition at Timmons Arena since the start of the 2015-16 campaign. The Paladins have won 23 of their last 25 regular season contests at Timmons with the only losses coming last season versus Samford and Wofford.
 
Following Wednesday's contest, Furman travels to face The Citadel Bulldogs in Charleston, S.C., on Saturday at 1 p.m. VMI visits Timmons Arena for a 7 p.m. tip-off next Wednesday.
