Greenville, S.C. – The Furman women's lacrosse team is back home at Paladin Stadium on Saturday afternoon to face the Davidson Wildcats in non-conference play at 1 p.m.

The Paladins (2-1) hit the road for the first time this season on Wednesday afternoon traveling to Liberty. Furman dropped a 16-9 decision to the Flames. The Paladins concluded the game with 24 shots, 20 ground balls and 10 draw controls. Furman also forced the Flames into 22 turnovers.
Grace Pollak and
Hannah Demis both led the Paladins offensively with five points against Liberty. Pollak scored a team-high four goals to go with one assist while Demis contributed a hat trick with three goals and dished out two assists.
Leah Nonnenmann also had two assists (tied career-high) while
Hannah Dintino added one.
Kyra LaMotte and
Meagan Beal each scored one goal.
Meghan Deehan made six saves in goal.
Pollak paces the Furman offense this season with 15 points on 11 goals and four assists while Demis adds 14 points on six goals and eight assists. In goal, Deehan has registered a 2-1 record and 22 saves.
Davidson is currently 0-2 on the season after beginning the year with losses to No. 23 Virginia Tech and No. 2 North Carolina. The Wildcats fell 22-5 at second-ranked North Carolina on Sunday. Grace Fahey and Olivia Carey lead Davidson offensively with four points apiece. Fahey has two goals and two assists while Carey adds four assists. Shannon Blee and Sam Rippley have both scored a team-high three goals. Katy Morris has made nine saves in goal. The Wildcats are under the direction of 12
th-year head coach Kim Wayne.
The Paladins are facing Davidson for the third time in program history with the Wildcats leading the all-time series 2-0. Davidson defeated Furman 13-8 last season.
The Paladins return to the road next Saturday, February 29 heading to Baltimore, Md. to face Johns Hopkins at 1 p.m.
