Greenville, S.C. – The Furman men's lacrosse team opens its home schedule on Saturday afternoon welcoming the Hampton Pirates to Paladin Stadium for a 12 p.m. matchup.

The Paladins (0-1) began their 2020 season last Saturday dropping a 16-9 neutral-site decision to Bucknell in Durham, N.C.
Anders Erickson led Furman offensively with four points on one goal and three assists.
Carson Sorrells added three points on two goals and one assist.
Tucker Brown was one of four players to finish with two points.
Austin Leonard,
Chad Kreuzer,
Brett Tenaglia and
Jack Dowd also scored one goal apiece. In goal,
Alec Van de Bovenkamp grabbed 18 saves.
The Paladins concluded the game with 28 shots and 24 ground balls while forcing Bucknell into 14 turnovers.
Hampton (0-1) also opened its season last Saturday with a 24-7 loss at NJIT. Derian Williams-Sturdivant leads the Pirates offensively with three points on one goal and two assists. Elliott Johnson III and Lonnie Jones have both scored a team-best two goals. In goal, Kevin Mondy Jr. has seven saves while Paxtin Powell adds five. Hampton is under the direction of first-year head coach Rashad Devoe.
Furman is facing the Pirates for the second time in program history and lead the all-time series 1-0. The Paladins defeated Hampton last season, 26-6, in Greenville.
Furman starts a three-game road trip on Saturday, February 15 with a 12 p.m. contest at Navy.
