Greenville, S.C. – The Furman women's lacrosse team returns to action on Tuesday afternoon when it hosts the Bucknell Bison in non-conference play at 4 p.m. from Paladin Stadium.

The Paladins (2-4) are playing their fifth home game of the season, and second in the last four days, after falling 10-6 to Lehigh last Saturday. Furman attempted a total of 26 shots in the contest along with the Mountain Hawks. The Paladins held a 15-14 advantage in ground balls and 13-12 in saves. Furman also won seven draws and forced Lehigh into 17 turnovers.
Hannah Demis led the Paladins offensively with four points on three assists and one goal.
Grace Pollak compiled a hat trick with a team-high three goals.
Kyra LaMotte and
Meagan Beal both had one goal. LaMotte also led the team with four draws.
Regan Lingo set a new career-high with three ground balls and caused two turnovers along with
Kaylee Coleman,
Rachel Sindler and
Morgan Franklin.
Meghan Deehan grabbed a career-high 13 saves in goal.
With her three goals on Saturday, Pollak became just the third player in program history to score 100 career goals. She joined
Abby Shields (2016-19) and Ashley Trice (2015-17) as the only players to reach the century mark in goals scored for a career.
Pollak leads Furman offensively this season compiling 23 points on 18 goals and five assists. Demis has a team-high 14 assists and collected 21 points on seven goals. LaMotte adds eight goals and
Leah Nonnenmann seven.
Avery Whitehead has picked up a team-leading 15 ground balls while Franklin paces the team with 21 draws and 12 caused turnovers. Deehan contributes 51 saves in goal.
Bucknell currently sits at 3-4 on the season after defeating Campbell 13-10 on Saturday in Buies Creek, N.C. Eve Calabria has recorded a team-best 25 points for the Bison on 12 goals and 13 assists. Tegan Warren leads the team with 13 goals while Morgan Steinhacker has 12. In goal, Lauren Kinnee has won three games and Caitlin Tucker posts 49 saves. Bucknell is under the direction of first-year head coach Jackie Dando.
The Paladins and Bison are meeting for the first time in program history.
Furman heads to Rock Hill, S.C. on Friday, March 13 to face Winthrop at 3 p.m.
