GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman women's tennis team will entertain Auburn Sunday at 10 a.m. at the Mickel Tennis Center in Greenville, S.C., to open the 2021 spring season. No spectators will be allowed at the event, but live stats will be available at http://www.FurmanPaladins.com.
The match marks the season opener for both teams. The Paladins and Tigers last met in 2005, when Auburn defeated Furman, 4-3, in Auburn. The Tigers lead the series, 1-0.
Furman will travel to Tennessee (2-0) Monday for a 11 a.m. match up at the Goodfriend Tennis Center in Knoxville, Tenn. No spectators will be allowed at the event. The teams last met in the opening round of the 2019 NCAA Championships, when the Volunteers defeated the Paladins, 4-0, to take an 8-0 series lead. Tennessee defeated UT Martin, 7-0, in a pair of matches on Friday.
