Greenville, S.C. – The Furman men's soccer team received second half goals from Jake Raine and Jacob Garzon on Saturday evening as the Paladins defeated the East Tennessee State Buccaneers, 2-1, during Senior Night at Stone Stadium.

The teams played to a scoreless draw at halftime before Raine broke through for the Paladins in the 55th minute off the assist from Holland. Furman got on the board first, going in front 1-0, when Holland's attempt from the top of the 18-yard box was saved by Perryman but the ball deflected away. Raine collected the rebound and scored on the one-timer from eight yards out.

Garzon followed in the 62nd minute when his goal, and assist by Fenton, extended the Paladins' lead to 2-0. Garzon had possession of the ball in front of the Furman bench and made a pass to Fenton who quickly distributed the ball back to Garzon. He beat one Buccaneer defender, took two dribbles, and fired an attempt from 22 yards. His attempt sailed past a diving Perryman inside the right post.

Portas cut East Tennessee State's deficit down to 2-1 in the 82nd minute when he scored with O'Brien getting credit for the assist.
