Greenville, S.C. – The Furman women's lacrosse team is back on the road Saturday afternoon when it travels to Buies Creek, N.C. for a 12 p.m. opening draw against the Campbell Camels from Barker-Lane Stadium.

The Paladins (4-3) are coming off their most convincing win of the season on Wednesday evening with a 19-5 victory over the Winthrop Eagles at Paladin Stadium. The 19 goals scored by Furman are its most in a game this season and kept it undefeated at home with a 3-0 record.
The quartet of
Hannah Dintino,
Kyra LaMotte,
Hannah Demis and
Lindsey Kelly combined for 21 points to lead the Paladins offensively. Demis provided a team-high six points on two goals and four assists. Dintino set a new career-high with five goals while LaMotte also registered five. Kelly compiled a career-high five points and three assists, while tying her career-best of two goals.
Sydney McClure collected a career-high three points on two goals (tied career-high) and one assist. McIlwaine won 12 draws and picked up four ground balls along with
Avery Whitehead. Whitehead,
Sydney Catts and
Katelyn Sousa both caused a team-high two turnovers. In goal,
Meghan Deehan recorded seven saves and allowed the fewest goals in a game for her career.
McIlwaine set a new school single-game record, while tying the SoCon individual game mark, by winning 12 draws against the Eagles. She broke the previous mark of 11, which was held by both Catts (4/6/18 at Mercer) and
Morgan Franklin (4/14/18 vs. Detroit Mercy).
Demis leads Furman this season with 32 points on 22 assists and 10 goals. LaMotte contributes a team-leading 27 goals, while
Meagan Beal adds 11. Dintino has also scored 10 goals along with Demis. McIlwaine has won a team-high 20 draws and Whitehead boasts eight caused turnovers. In goal, Deehan leads the team with 17 ground balls and 52 saves.
The Camels are currently 3-4 on the season following an 8-7 win over Coastal Carolina on Wednesday afternoon in Conway, S.C. Sam Bischoff paces Campbell offensively with 21 points on 18 goals and three assists. Julianna Sanchez provides 16 goals and Megan Matthews a team-leading nine assists. Sanchez has also won a team-best 56 draws. Lizzie Yurchak has compiled 16 ground balls and Chandler Stewart nine caused turnovers. In goal, Alex Salim has made 57 saves and tallied a .445 save percentage. The Camels are under the direction of eighth-year head coach Dawn Easley.
The Paladins are facing Campbell for the fifth time in program history and lead the all-time series 3-1.
Furman opens SoCon play on Saturday, April 3 when it hosts Coastal Carolina at 3 p.m. from Paladin Stadium.
