Greenville, S.C. – Ten different players combined for 19 goals, highlighted by a game-high four each from Hannah Demis and Hannah Dintino, as the Furman women's lacrosse team recorded its sixth consecutive victory on Sunday afternoon with a 19-5 win over the Stetson Hatters on Senior Day at Paladin Stadium.

The Paladins improve to 9-3 on the season while the Hatters fall to 1-5 overall. Furman's six-game winning streak ties for the longest in program history, matching the mark originally set by the 2017 Paladins.

Demis combined for all seven of her points in the second half, finishing with four goals and three assists to lead all players. Meagan Beal added four points on three goals and an assist, and Sydney McClure provided three points on two goals and one assist. Kyra LaMotte and Lindsey Kelly both contributed one goal and one assist. Katelyn Sousa, Avery McIlwaine, Sophie Shaw and Caroline Swaim all had one goal. Sydney Catts also dished out one assist. Avery Whitehead finished with four draws, three ground balls and tied her career-high of three caused turnovers. LaMotte collected four draws and Regan Lingo three ground balls.

In goal, Meghan Deehan won her sixth straight game after compiling four saves and two ground balls.

Quinn Roe, Saige-Lyn Gidzinski, Erin Collier, Camden Frissora and Jordyn Humphrey all scored once for Stetson. Jessica Duggan and Anne Ryan Lanz both tallied one assist. Roe won three draws and Lanz picked up three ground balls. Seven different players caused one turnover apiece.

In goal, Kiera McCarthy registered six saves and Sydney Heimann two.

Furman outscored the Hatters 10-2 in the second half while limiting Stetson to just seven shots. Leading 9-3 at halftime, the Paladins scored three of the first four goals in the second half, covering almost 10 minutes, to hold a 12-4 advantage at the 21:47 mark. After the Hatters recorded their first goal of the half, Furman registered seven straight over the next 18 minutes. Demis scored all four of her goals during that stretch, while McClure, Kelly and Swaim scored once. Swaim's first collegiate goal at the 3:48 mark put the Paladins ahead 19-4.

Humphrey's goal with 1:08 left in the game put the final score at 19-5.

The teams traded the first two goals of the contest before Furman used a 4-0 run to take a 5-1 lead with 11:25 remaining. The Hatters answered with a goal at the 9:57 mark, but the Paladins would close the half scoring four of the final five from McIlwaine, Shaw, Dintino and Beal. Beal's second goal of the contest with three seconds left in the period sent Furman into halftime leading by six.

The Paladins concluded the game holding a 37-14 advantage in shots, 21-16 in ground balls and 14-10 in draws. Furman also forced Stetson into 21 turnovers.

Furman begins its season-ending two-game road trip on Wednesday afternoon, traveling to Spartanburg for a 2 p.m. opening draw at Wofford.
