Keller Harper tied for 23
rd place on Tuesday following the second round of the NCAA Tallahassee Regional from the par 72, 7,505-yard Seminole Legacy Club.
The three-time All-SoCon selection began his round with two birdies over the opening four holes at No. 2 and No. 4 before recording three consecutive pars. He concluded the front-nine at 2-over 38 and started the back-nine with a bogey. Harper responded with birdies on No. 11 and No. 13, and then followed with four straight pars on holes 14-17. He finished with a bogey on No. 18 to post a round of 2-over 74.
The Atlanta, Ga. native has compiled a 4-under, 4.50 stroke average in par 5 scoring and even-par, 3.00 stroke average in par 3 scoring. Harper enters his final round with a 4.15 stroke average in par 4 scoring.
No. 2 Florida State leads the NCAA Tallahassee Regional by eight strokes over No. 16 Liberty, and 11 over No. 27 Georgia Tech, at 24-under par 552.
Jacksonville's Michael Sakane sits atop the individual leaderboard by one stroke over No. 8 Davis Thompson of Georgia at 11-under 133.
Harper is part of a field of 14 teams and five additional individuals who are battling for a berth in the NCAA Men's Golf Championship, which will be held May 28-June 2 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz. The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance.
