Greenville, S.C. – The Furman men's soccer team concluded its preseason schedule on Friday evening with a 0-0 draw to the North Florida Ospreys from Stone Stadium.
The teams played two 45-minute halves in the exhibition finale plus an additional 20-minute period.
Jake Raine and
Conor Dowler led Furman offensively with two shots and one attempt on goal apiece.
Dylan Lane,
Miles Fenton and
Garrett Singletary also had one shot, while Lane and Fenton contributed one attempt on goal.
Jovoney Brown and Chance Shamlou recorded a team-high three shots for North Florida and collected one shot on goal along with Tom Luto and Santiago Fonseca.
Ben Roberts registered four saves for the Paladins in 90 minutes of action and
Cameron Maung-Maung played a scoreless 20 minutes.
Carlos Melendez was one of three goalies to play for the Ospreys and finished with three saves.
North Florida held a 17-7 edge in shots while both teams tallied four attempts on goal.
Furman begins its regular season on Thursday, August 26 with a 4 p.m. road contest at American.
