AUBURN, ALA. -- Furman head women's tennis coach Adam Herendeen picked up his 200th career victory as the Paladins rolled past UAB, 5-2, Saturday in a neutral match at the Yarbrough Tennis Center in Auburn, Ala.

Herendeen, who is in his who is in his seventh season leading the Paladin program, has amassed a 200-79 career record and a 121-37 mark at the helm of the Furman program.  Last season, he led Furman to an ITA national ranking of 23rd, marking the highest ranking in program history.  The Paladins, which won the SoCon regular season championship, claimed their fourth-consecutive and 20th overall tournament championship and made their fourth-straight appearance in the NCAA Championships.

The Paladins won five of six singles matches versus the Blazers for the victory.  Senior Julia Adams, who ranks 45th nationally, defeated Jana Hecking, 6-1, 6-1, at flight one, and junior Madison Dillon posted a 6-1, 7-5 win over Adela Wasserbauerova at number two.  At flight three, sophomore Ellie Schoppe defeated Mackenzie White, 6-4, 6-3, and freshman Sara Snyder, the 65th-ranked singles player in the nation, beat Sydney Clarke, 6-2, 6-1.  Freshman Jess Dawson held off Vanessa Mellynchuk, 7-6(4), 6-4, at flight five.  

In doubles versus UAB, Adams and Schoppe recorded a 6-3 victory over Wasserbauerova and Mackenzie White at flight one. 

Furman (3-0) will square off against No. 25 Auburn Sunday at noon ET in Auburn, Ala.
