GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman men's tennis team will play host to Lipscomb and Belmont Abbey Saturday at the Mickel Tennis Center.

First serve versus the Bisons is set for 11 a.m. with the match against the Crusaders scheduled for 3 p.m.

Over the years, Furman has been very successful on its home court.  Over the past 20 seasons the Paladins have lost only 34 matches at home, posting an impressive record of 155-34 since 2002.

The Paladins enter the weekend at 5-1 after defeating Belmont, 5-2, on Saturday and Georgia State, 4-3, on Sunday.  Furman won the doubles point and scored at flights two through five against Belmont then made a thrilling comeback, down 3-1, versus Georgia State.

Saturday's match marks just the second meeting between the Paladins and the Bisons.  Lipscomb leads the series, 1-0, after posting a 4-3 victory when the teams last met in 2019 in Nashville.  The Bisons are  3-3 this season with victories over Austin Peay (7-0), Tennessee Tech (4-3), and Tennessee State (6-1).

The Paladins and the Crusaders will meet for the first time on Sunday.  Belmont Abbey is 3-9 with two wins over Pfeiffer, 6-3 in each match, and a victory at Catawba (6-1).
