GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The 23rd-ranked Furman women's tennis team will face James Madison and No. 43 Charlotte this weekend at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex in Charlotte, N.C.

The Paladins will square off against the Dukes Saturday at 1 p.m. in a neutral site match that was postponed in  January due to inclement weather.  Furman will play Charlotte Sunday at 1 p.m.

Furman enters the weekend at 9-5 after defeating No. 26 Alabama, 4-3, and 24th-ranked Texas Tech, 4-2, last month at the Blue Gray Tournament in Montgomery, Ala.  Paladin senior Julia Adams is currently ranked 51st nationally in singles, while Adams and sophomore Ellie Schoppe are ranked 24th among the nation's top doubles teams.  The Furman doubles team of Madison Dillon and freshman Ellie Schulson is ranked 34th nationally.

James Madison is 7-7 after a 4-0 victory over Coastal Carolina on Thursday.  Last week, the Dukes defeated No. 62 Michigan State, 4-1, and Marshall, 5-2.  Saturday's match marks only the second meeting between the Paladins and the Dukes.  James Madison defeated Furman, 7-2, in Harrisonburg in 1996. 

Charlotte holds an 11-3 record after falling, 4-0, at No. 71 Rice last weekend.  The 49ers defeated North Texas, 5-2, to open the road trip.  Furman leads the all-time series with Charlotte, 25-0, after defeating the 49ers, 4-1, in Greenville last season.
