Greenville, S.C. – The Furman women's lacrosse team will host the Elon Phoenix in its first home game of the season on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. from Paladin Stadium.
Fans can follow the action on www.furmanpaladins.com via live stats. The game is being streamed via paid subscription on ESPN+ and the ESPN app. Updates will also be posted on the Furman women's lacrosse Twitter page (@FUWlax).
The Paladins opened their season two weeks ago dropping a road game at second-ranked North Carolina, 20-7, on February 16 in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Anna Roser and
Hannah Dintino both scored two goals each, while
Meagan Beal and
Ryan Bionda each contributed one goal.
Lauren Farber had three ground balls in addition to providing a goal for the Paladins.
Sophia Buzelis won four draws and Dintino caused one turnover.
In goal,
Lily Rathbun made nine saves.
Elon enters the weekend with a 1-4 record following a 22-20 win at home over Campbell on Wednesday. The Phoenix are under the direction of ninth-year head coach Josh Hexter.
Furman is facing Elon for the second time in program history after a 13-9 loss at Elon last season.
The Paladins remain at home on Tuesday, March 15 to host Virginia Tech at 6 p.m.
