JACKSONVILLE, FLA. -- The 46th-ranked Furman (+5) women's golf team is in second place, while sophomore Sophia Burnett (-1) and junior Anna Morgan (-1) are tied for fifth Monday after two rounds of the UNF Collegiate at the par 72, 5,926 yard Jacksonville Golf and Country Club in Jacksonville, Fla.

Burnett, a native of Bluffton, S.C., carded a 73 with birdies on No. 7 and No. 16 in the day's opening round then fired a team-best 70 with three birdies in round two.  Morgan, who hails from Spartanburg, S.C., paced the Paladins with a 70 and a team-high four birdies in round one and carded a 73 with birdies on No. 14 and No. 16 in the afternoon round.  

The Paladin duo is two strokes back of Isha Dhruva (-3) of Penn State, Carlota Garcia (-3) of South Alabama, and North Florida's Daniela Bonzalez Pinto (-3), who lead the field after two rounds.

Senior Kyra Cox (+1) is tied for tenth heading into Tuesday's final round.  Cox posted a 74 with birdies on No. 8 and No. 14 in round one and a 1-under 71 with a team-best five birdies, including consecutive birdies on No. 8 and No. 9, in round two.

Senior Sarah-Eve Rhéaume (+6) shot an even 72 with three birdies in the day's first round and a 78 with a birdie on No. 14 in the afternoon round, tying for 29th.  Sophomore Caroline Crumrine (+10), who is playing as an individual, is tied for 54th.  Crumrine tallied a 79 with birdies on No. 5 and No. 16 for the first round and a 75 with birdies on No. 5 and No. 14 in the second round.  

Freshman Savannah Hylton (+19) is tied for 84th following two rounds of play.  She scored a 77 in round one and an 86 with a birdie on No. 14 in the day's last round. 

Host North Florida (+1) holds a four-stroke lead over the Paladins (+5).  No. 49 North Texas (+15) and Sam Houston (+15) are tied for third, followed by Jacksonville State (+16) in fifth. 

The 54-hole tournament concludes on Tuesday with an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start.  The Paladins will tee off of No. 1 through No. 6 and will play in a group with North Florida and North Texas.  Live tournament scoring will be available via http://www.golfstat.com.
