Furman Travels to Campbell Saturday for Final Road Game

Paladins Hold a 4-1 Lead in All-Time Series

Greenville, S.C. – The Furman women's lacrosse team plays its final road game of the season on Saturday afternoon when it heads to Buies Creek, N.C. for a 1 p.m. opening draw against the Campbell Camels at Barker-Lane Stadium.

The Paladins (5-7, 5-2 Big South) dropped a 22-12 decision to High Point on Wednesday evening at Paladin Stadium. Furman concluded the game with 30 shots, 15 ground balls and 15 draws.

Meagan Beal and Anna Roser both led the Paladins offensively with three points on two goals and one assist. Beal added a team high eight draws. Hannah Dintino, Paige Harman and Lauren Farber each contributed two goals. Sophie Shaw added three points on one goal and a team leading two assists and Sophia Buzelis had two points on a goal and an assist. Farber was one of six players that caused a turnover and picked up a team best five ground balls. In goal, Lily Rathbun made nine saves.

Beal paces Furman on offense this season with 39 points on 29 goals and 10 assists while winning 71 draws. Dintino (21 goals, 10 assists) and Roser (22 goals, 8 assists) have compiled 31 and 30 points, respectively. Harman has dished out 12 assists and Farber adds 13 caused turnovers. Rathbun provides 107 saves and 38 ground balls in goal.

Campbell, winners of its last seven games, is currently 10-4 on the season and 7-0 in Big South play following a 20-4 home win over Presbyterian on Wednesday. The Camels are under the direction of ninth-year head coach Dawn Easley.

The Paladins are facing Campbell for the sixth time in program history and leads the all-time series 4-1.

Furman concludes the regular season on Wednesday, April 27 when it hosts Presbyterian on Senior Night with opening draw scheduled for 7 p.m.
