Furman Men's Golf 2022-23 Schedule Released

2022-23 Men's Golf Schedule

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Furman head men's golf coach Matt Davidson announced today the team's schedule for the upcoming 2022-23 season.

The Paladin schedule includes 11 tournaments, with five slated for the fall and six in the spring.

"We are extremely pleased with how this season's schedule came together," said Davidson.  "The fall season is full of great courses and really strong fields.  Having the Furman Intercollegiate in October this year will also provide a perfect way to conclude the fall schedule.  The spring is more of the same, with several events with a lot of history and deep, competitive fields.  We really made a point to test ourselves with competition and some very solid golf courses this season."

For the second season in a row, Furman will open the fall season at the Gopher Invitational in Independence, Minn., which is slated for Sept. 11-12.  Later in the month, the Paladins will travel to the Old Town Club Collegiate, which will be hosted by Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, N.C., from Sept. 26-27.

In October, Furman will compete at SMU's Trinity Forest Invitational, Oct. 2-4, in Dallas, Texas, then return to ETSU's Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate in Johnson City, Tenn., Oct. 9-11.  The Paladins conclude the fall season Oct. 22-23 at the 52nd Furman Intercollegiate, which will make its fall debut in 2022 after a hiatus last spring.

The 2022 spring season begins at the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational, Feb. 5-6, in Jacksonville, Fla.  March will prove to be a busy month for the Paladins, first at the Palmetto Intercollegiate in Aiken, S.C., March 6-7, then at the General Hackler Championship hosted by Coastal Carolina at Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach.  Furman concludes the month with a return trip to the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate, slated for Mar. 26-28 in Awendaw, S.C.

The Paladins begin the month of April in Franklin, Tenn., for Vanderbilt's Mason Rudolph Championship, April 10-12, then for the third-straight year, Furman will compete for the Southern Conference Championship Apr. 22-24 at Reynolds Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Ga.

The NCAA regional championships are slated for May 15-17 six campus sites, and the NCAA Championship will be held May 26-31 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.
