Athens, Ga. – Georgia scored in the 24
th minute to claim a 1-0 victory over Furman in the final women's soccer exhibition tune-up for both schools on Saturday night at the Turner Soccer Complex in Athens, Ga.
"I thought we gained confidence as the game went on tonight," said Paladin head coach
Andrew Burr. "We adapted to a couple of systems as we are still trying to determine what our most effective style of play will be. We are still learning about our newcomers and very happy with the progress we have made so far."

Furman opens the 2022 regular season this weekend on Seagraves Field at Stone Stadium. The Paladins host Presbyterian at 7 p.m. on Friday before entertaining North Greenville for a 2 p.m. kickoff on Sunday.
