GREENVILLE, S.C. – Furman women's cross country runner Abigail Robertson has been named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for all competition from Oct. 25-31. The selection is made by the conference office.
A senior from Marietta, Ga., Robertson won the individual title at the Southern Conference Cross Country Championship Friday to lead the 25th-ranked Paladins to their 11th-straight team title. She set a new course record with a 5K time of 16:41.7 and was honored as the SoCon Women's Cross Country Runner of the Year. The win represents Robertson's first individual conference title and third top-two finish in the last four league championships.
Robertson is pursuing a health sciences degree and maintains a 3.91 GPA.
