Greenville, S.C. – The Furman volleyball team will play its final home matches of the season this weekend when it hosts the Mercer Bears and Chattanooga Mocs in Southern Conference play at Alley Gym.
Furman hosts Mercer Friday at 7 p.m. before entertaining Chattanooga on Saturday at 4 p.m. Prior to Saturday's match, the Paladins will hold their Senior Day festivities honoring
Ella Abraham,
Kaeli Braswell,
Mikaela Schultz, and
Sydney Tanner.

The Paladins (16-7, 7-5 SoCon) saw their four-match winning streak come to an end last Saturday with a 3-2 loss to Wofford at Alley Gym. Furman concluded the match hitting .210 while holding a 65-58 advantage in kills, 62-56 in assists, and 75-74 in digs. The Paladins also registered nine total blocks.
Lauren Haynes tied her career high of 21 kills on .232 hitting to lead all players for Furman. A total of three players had double digit kills as
Lindsay Walch contributed a career best 15 on .429 hitting and
Mary Beth Headley added 10.
Emily Navarro matched her career high of 45 assists and fell one dig shy of a double-double after totaling nine.
Kennedy Seekford had a match high 26 digs.
Mercer currently sits second in the league standings at 12-11 overall and 8-4 in the conference. Chattanooga is tied for sixth place with a 17-10 record and 5-7 SoCon mark.
The Paladins lead the all-time series over the Bears 21-13 and hold a 51-29 advantage against the Mocs. Furman fell 3-0 to both Mercer and Chattanooga on the road earlier this season.
The Paladins close out the regular season next weekend, November 10-11, at UNC Greensboro and The Citadel.
